- Hardware
You will need a iPhone, iPad, Android Phone, or Google Pixel Phone
For iPads or iPhones, the hardware must have Biometric Authentication ("Touch ID" ). You will need an iPhone or iPad with a Touch ID sensor. This includes iPhone models from iPhone 5 up to the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, as well as certain iPad models (e.g., iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3, and later). Your device must be running iOS 9 or later.
For Android Phones or tablets (including Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy phones), the hardware must have Biometric Authentication ("Fingerprint"). You will need an Android device with a Fingerprint sensor. Most Android smartphones and tablets released in recent years come equipped with fingerprint sensors. The device should be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow (API level 23) or later to support fingerprint recognition.
The phone/tablet should have a front-facing camera to make transaction as easy as possible for the customer.
If you have existing hardware that you already use, you can likely install UBICoin software (see below) on it, and "Quick Switch" from your existing app to UBICoin, as long as your existing hardware meets the requirements above.
2. Software
You will need to download and install the UBICoin app for your hardware. You can install the UBICoin app from either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
3. Accessories
You may need a few accessories for physical security and for hardware charging, if you do not have these already.
